Seriously. Is there anything more frustrating than an impending move? Your fingers itch to get started with all of the projects you know you have to do in the new place, but you can't muster up the energy to even clean the current home. You can't really start with the packing, since you always find out that you actually need something that you have packed if you start too soon.

Packing, yes... The only thing we have done so far is to get all of our boxes from the cellar. All 100 or so of them. They are left since our move here from Gothenburg, 2,5 years ago, and they have taken up about 50% of all storage space in our cellar since then. It's great to have them now, though! But having them take up 20% of our living room space isn't so great... And, as if our apartment isn't messy enough as it is, our waching machine is broken, so the rest of the floor space in the living room is occupied with dirty laundry. Yay. Anyway. Tonight I actually got around to do some real packing. Summer clothes and shoes. I'm not overly optimistic that I will need any of those before may, so I felt OK about packing them. And it feels good to get started. 9 more days and then we'll get the keys!

I can't find this song on Spotify or on Youtube, but listen to this! Norwegian pop.

I like: Sandra Dieckmann

A while ago I ordered two prints from the amazing artist Sandra Dieckmann. One of them I gave to my brother as a gift, but this one I kept for myself! I love that so many of her illustrations features animals. Visiting her homepage always makes me want to order more prints.

Now I can't wait to find the best place in the new house to hang this...

Soon my morning walk to work will be cut in half. Or more. That will give me about 15 minutes extra in the morning, and we all know how valuable those morning-minutes are!

all this anticipation

I had a bit of a shock this morning when I woke up and realised that I didn't have any plans for this whole day. I spend so much time planning for what will happen in a couple of weeks (we'll get the keys to the house) so I forget to plan for the more immediate future. Today this did not present a huge problem, but only resulted in a lazy day on the couch.
On another note. This Tuesday we went and visited a cat breeder here in town. we have actually found another breed that we're interested in - Maine Coon - and I can now reveal that it is highly possible that two little Coons will move in with us in the middle of May. Can't keep the silly smile of my face! Yay!
